Today was pumpkin patch day! Okay, so it wasn't REALLY a pumpkin patch because we live in southeastern Georgia. Apparently, they ship pumpkins in, but we had a great time nonetheless. Farmer Joe led the kids in song, "If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands!" with all the motions. Then he took us all on a hayride. There was about 11 moms and 23 children ages 0-3 who went with our group. It was so fun. We stopped to feed the pigs, and then again to look at chickens. Will was so fascinated with the animals that he hopped off the hayride and ran up to the pen. He hasn't stopped talking about the pigs which he calls "piggie wiggies".
Halfway through the hayride we were dropped off at a large corn maze through a field of corn. It was a little rough with so many toddlers. It was extremely hot at that point and many children wanted to be carried about halfway through. Unfortunately, there were not enough arms to hold all the kids at once. Will walked the entire maze which suprised me! He was a trooper. Natalie slept in the sling so I had my arms full.
After the maze and the hayride, the children picked out their pumpkins. Natalie liked the straw on the haystacks. My attempts to get cute pictures of Will and Natalie together sort of failed. Neither one would look at the camera, but you get the idea!

Will took a little break on our long corn maze walk.

This was the start of our hayride.

Will, Spence, and Haydn. 3 adorable 2 year olds.

Recovery time with snacks and pumpkin!

All in all it was a beautiful fall day and we really enjoyed the experience. It isn't quite the same as up as the pumpkin patches up north, but it was a fun day anyway! I am so thankful to have such a wonderful group of friends to do these sort of activities with. I wonder sometimes if Will has any idea how fortunate he is to have so many little friends his age. He is really social and loves all of his friends. He talks to me about them when we are home and asks to see them. It makes me happy to see him interacting so well with his peers!
