We spent last weekend in Charleston visiting with dear friends of ours. Tom went to college with Glenn and Jane who are now married with two children close in age to our two. They were visiting their parents and invited us to come for the weekend. Their families are so hospitable and welcomed us into their homes with open arms. It was such a lovely and relaxing time.
Our children got along so well. It was really fun to watch them all interact over the course of the weekend. Will and Griffin became fast friends, and Will renamed Griffin "Dolphin" as he cannot seem to pronounce "Griffin". Here is Griffin and Iris with Will and Natalie.
Griffin and Will were eating breakfast and Griffin said, "Will, you are my best friend!" Will lovingly replied, "Dolphin!"

We spent Saturday at Isle of Palms beach. Will was keeping daddy busy by running the length of the beach as fast as his little legs could take him. Tom finally caught him and had to carry him most of the way back.
Griffin requested to hold Natalie. He was very loving and Will was very protective! I think Will was even a little jealous. Watch out Natalie...this could be your future husband!

Natalie seems to be teething now. At least she is drooling enough to be and she cannot keep her fingers out of her mouth. This is a very typical picture these days. She did seem to enjoy the beach as it wasn't too sunny and hot.
Two handsome, tired boys after a day at the beach without naps! So much fun! I think Will definately made a new friend. He talks about "Dolphin" and "swimming" and "the beach" everyday since we came home.

Is that a white couch? Yikes!! :)
Yes, it is a white couch, but thankfully it belongs to a lovely retired couple who do not have any small children living in their home. The couch and chair just have to survive the visits of their grandchildren!
