vacation, vacation!

We just got back from our long awaited trip to Michigan where we spent 10 days visiting my immediate and extended family members. It was a crazy 10 days that were packed full so that when it was over it really felt like we had only been there about 5 days. I wasn't ready to come home! There is never enough time when you are catching up with so many people.
We drove straight through 17 hours to get to our first stop which was my brothers house in Holland, Mi. The few days there were fun. We went to the dunes one evening, ate ice cream, walked the harbor and enjoyed the quiet resort town of Saugutuck. The fourth of July celebration was a crazy beach day/evening with all of my siblings.
After that we headed to my sister Amy's house in Grand Rapids for a few days which included a party to celebrate Will's 2nd birthday! He is such a big boy now. Unfortunately, our camera broke the morning of his party so all the pictures I currently have are from the first few days of our trip. Eventually I will obtain pictures my sister took from Will's party, so that will have to be a belated post.
Here's Natalie and mommy enjoying the view of Lake Michigan from the Sand Dunes.
Walking through Saugatuck checking out the boats.

Daddy and Will on top of one of the dunes.

Here is my brother Jonathan and sister-in-law Kristen. Will loved playing with their two boys, Landon and Noah!

As Will was saying, "I like it...ice cream!"
He asks me everday now for either icecream or chocolate. He was really spoiled on his vacation.

4th of July picnic at Holland State Park.

Conversations with Will and Landon. Quite the pair!

My sistas! Amy and Lisa..... neice Isabelle in the background.
After our time on the west side of the state we returned to my home of Jackson for a few wonderful days with my parents. Again, I wish I had pictures of our time there. It was great to be home and to spend time with my mom! It was so much fun and I am so sad it is over. All in all, we had a great trip and couldn't have asked for better travelers than our two little ones. They did great!
