Slowing Down

Summer is flying by this year. So much has been packed into our summer that I guess the fact that August is over halfway over should not surprise me, but it does. School has already been in session for a few weeks here in Georgia which feels really strange.
I have found myself staying home alot more the past few weeks. Natalie is almost 5 months old and as happy as ever as long as she is getting her naps. Will and I have had to adjust our galavanting around just a little bit to accomodate Natalie's love of sleep. That is just fine by me! I am thrilled that Natalie is such a good sleeper, but I am having to get creative about ways to entertain Will at home. It has been a good brain exercise for me and physical exercise at times. The other morning I must have played hide and seek for about an hour, and I literally had to run to my hiding place in order to get away from him fast enough.
One of Will's favorite activities as of late is helping me in the kitchen, whether it be making coffee or pancakes or stirring anything that is available to be stirred. He comes up to me and says, "Help me mommy??" (Translation: "May I please help you mommy?) It is so cute!

Natalie is loved on by my friends at every chance. She doesn't mind one bit! She went to a birthday party with Will last Saturday. She enjoyed every minute of the excitement!
Will has a love/hate relationship with his tricycle. I think he wants to ride it but gets a little scared when he tries. He usually wants off pretty quickly. He's not too sure about the helmet either!
Natalie watches Will intently whenever we are outside playing. It seems she is just longing to join him!

Will would like to revert to babyhood. He still plays more with Natalie's toys than his own. He has now figured out how to climb into her exersaucer. He yells for help whenever he wants out! Some things make better toys than actual toys. Boxes are definately a favorite in our house! Look at his crazy hair. I think it is time for another haircut though I am very afraid his curl is going to go away!

You do a great job on your blog. It is interesting to hear about having a 5 month old and a todler and dealing with the different demands. Good job mom !!
