Escape to Hilton Head Island

Well, many of you have been asking for more blog updates! I am sorry to have disappeared for a while, but am happy to say I had a wonderful valid reason. We were on a relaxing vacation to Hilton Head Island with Tom's family, and it was fantastic! There were many pictures taken, so I have posted several to highlight the past few weeks.
Tom's brother Terrance and sister-in-law Jennifer invited us and other family members to their timeshares. They were so gracious and giving to everyone who came. Other guests included Tom's mom, Aunt Darby and cousin Lizzy.
We spent the first week at Sea Pines staying at Harbour Point. There were great bike trails and we spent many hours walking while there. Will loved looking at the boats at the harbour, the horses at the horse farm, and the many trees. He wanted to know the name of every tree he saw.
Natalie was our little Georgia Peach!
Will collected rocks everywhere we walked and saved them in his shirt pocket.
Uncle Terry spent hours swimming with Will and playing with him. He is a terrific uncle! Will loved playing at the pool with him.
Cousin Andrew was Will's buddy for the 2 weeks. Andrew celebrated his first birthday while we were there. So cute!
Tom fell asleep and somebody thought he needed panda bear to snuggle with. We can only guess who was so sensitive toward Tom's needs.
Will finally decided to try wearing his sunglasses. He received lots of attention!
Will started really being brave in the pool. He would jump off the sides, dunk his head and attempt to swim to the steps- with assistance of course!

Aunt Darby loved on Natalie the whole time she was there. It was a big help as Tom had returned to work. I needed an extra set of hands sometimes! She was wonderful with the children and it was so nice to spend some quality time with her!
Natalie is enjoying eating her toes these days.

It was wonderful to spend a week with Tom's mom! She really was able to enjoy the grandkids and Will loved spendong time with her. Every time he was away from her he asked, "Where nana go?".

We ate lunch at the Salty Dog and Natalie enjoyed some attention from Uncle Terry and cousin Andrew.
Will loved the "Salty Dog".
We are home now and life is slowly returning to normal. Lots of unpacking, laundry and cleaning to finish this week, but it is good to be back! I promise to do better with my blogging now that life is slowing back down a bit.
