Every time Natalie cooes, Will runs to me and says, "Natawee's talkin' mommy!" He delights in hearing her voice or making her laugh. He adores her as much as Tom and I do. This morning he was kissing her feet, and then he said, "I'm gonna eat your toes Natawee!" as he started nibbling her toes. It was pretty funny. She will laugh and giggle for him more than she will for Tom or me. When she sees Will coming she squeals or gasps with a huge smile and then starts kicking her legs as fast as they will go. It makes me so happy to see them delight in each other the way that they do! Hopefully, this is setting the stage for a lifelong closeness.
Will was rapping his ABC song this morning (yes, I said "rapping!") He was standing on a chair at the refrigerator rearranging my word magnets and he started to sing/rap. It sounded something like this, "A-uh-B-C-uh-D-E-uh-F-G". He wasn't exactly singing and it had a strange rhythm, plus he was kind of yelling it. It is impossible to type what he was doing but it was hilarious. Especially when he got the part, "now I KNOW my ABC's" because he sort of rushed it putting emphasis on KNOW and ABC'S. I shoulda had it on video!
Yesterday, Natalie was having a rough sleeping day. I was sort of experimenting with letting her cry it out in her crib because vacation really threw off her routine. Anyway, I don't have the heart to let her cry. It is too pitiful and she is just so happy the rest of the time. She would much rather nurse to sleep and that seems to work for her. So, I went in to get her when she was crying and found her in the yoga "downward facing dog" pose. I am serious!!! Her body was in a perfect upside down V with her bottom in the air and legs straight down, arms stretched out over her head, screaming as loud as she could! When I tell you Natalie is strong, I mean she is REALLY strong. I have never seen anything like it before.

That is so funny! I wonder how she managed to get herself in that position!
