Pizza, Pizza, Pizza!

Poor little Natalie has been sick this whole weekend. She was crying alot on Thursday and Friday and did not want to take her naps. She was up most of the night, and I attributed it to teething. Saturday, the runny nose erupted, accompanied by a lowgrade fever. She is holding up okay, but has been rather pitiful. She wakes up so upset and crying fervently. Last night, in the middle of the night, she woke up screaming. I rushed to her room, and she was in upper push-up position. She pushes up on her arms and lifts her entire body except feet off the mattress. I seriously don't know where this arm strength is coming from. I do not remember Will ever doing that. In fact, I am not sure if he could hold that position now! I barely can!! Brut strength is what I call it. Even in her sickness, she is trying everything to crawl. Will helped me make Pizza from scratch today. Here's some pics of him kneading the dough. He kept saying, "I helping Mommy!" He had quite a good time. He carefully applied all the toppings when the dough was ready. It turned out to be delicious. Chef William!

Poor baby girl...wants to smile, but has to breathe through her mouth. Not feeling too great, but still beautiful! Do they look like brother and sister? I know there are differences, but I still see a strong resemblence!

This weekend was lazy, and I am glad. I am still recovering from being gone so long. I am tired, partly from getting up once or twice or three times a night with one or both children. I know it is temporary so I don't let it get me down. But I realize at nap time each day that I have a choice: to sleep or to get things done. Sometimes, getting things done affords me more peace of mind than even being well-rested would, so I make the choice to boulder through. This past week, I had to nap. I was too exhausted, and it made me a better mother to rest, so I did. My house suffered a little. I am still catching up on laundry. But, slowly, the house is getting cleaned, just not in one big swoop like normal. Maybe tomorrow....
