Aunt Amy!

My sister Amy is visiting us this week. Will and Natalie have been enjoying her undivided attention! She is so good with children, and Will adores her. We have gone to the park a few times and she introduced us to thrift store shopping. I believe this is Will's favorite type of shopping now as we actually let him walk around and touch things. In fact, we bought him just about anything he showed interest in as most items were under $1.00. It was fun because I don't think he knew the difference and it was a day of fun for him. He came home with about 10 new books which I know he is going to love, a vintage 3 pigs puzzle, and a firetruck.
Amy is so artistic and has a knack for finding treasures in the funniest places. Even in my own home she finds creative uses for things that I would probably throw away because I can't quite make them work. Oh to have her talent and her artistic eye!
We took Will and Natalie to the Raptor Center. He was fascinated with the Golden Eagle. He hasn't stopped asking to see the eagle again. One of the workers came into the exhibit to take the eagle in for the night. He brought the eagle over to Will to inspect close-up. That made Will's week! The other day I asked Will who his best friend is. This was after we had been talking about the park and all of his friends at playgroup. I really expected to hear Hadyn, Spence or Asher. He paused for a second and then piped out, "Natalie!!" It made me tear up. He loves her so much and I hope they are always best friends.
