Playtime

How do I describe the past few months that I have been absent on this blog? I must say I have been enjoying the last month with my children more than I can describe. It has been wonderful. They have entered a whole new phase of interaction and the best word I can think of to sum up January is "Playtime!" I think it is partly because Natalie is now big enough to actually engage in playing with Will, and he is enjoying her as his playmate so much. They are both pretty happy and excited most of the time. Also, I think the Christmas presents created a sort of playland they are both enjoying.
Santa brought them a joint gift of a kitchen with accessories and I must say they play pretty well together with it. Will is very bossy about what they are cooking and where Natalie is allowed to put things, but he usually tolerates her grabbing things while he is busy making me coffee and pancakes.
The other morning Will heard that Natalie was awake and ran into her room. I waited to go in just to see what would happen. This is what I found. Natalie was jumping and sqealing and Will was throwing all her toys out.
Today we drove to Savannah with friends from our playgroup and went to a giant playland for kids. Natalie was actually able to play in the area designated for smaller children. She LOVED the balls and was quite worn out from playing so hard.
Will like a good big brother spent time playing with her. He also spent time in the enormous maze. Needless to say, I had to rescue him because he couldn't find his way through all the tunnels above. He became a little scared and started to cry. Thankfully they have made the structure big enough for parents to go to.

My happy girl's hair is starting to grow! She is so pretty, tall and delicate. I am so in love with her!

I love those light blue eyes! I can't believe she is 10 months already. Her first birthday is just around the corner. BOO HOO!
